Gimme That Bowl!

Gimme That Bowl!

The lil chunker is so excited to be eating rice cereal and applesauce now.  Although he doesn’t like peaches.  We’ll try those again in a week or so when he forgets that he didn’t like them.

Awww how exciting! If you want to make mealtimes even easier, it’s now recommended to skip the rice cereals (no nutritional value, takes like cardboard, carbs, inhibits iron absorption) and go right to self-feeding table foods. This way, you spend no money on bland jarred foods, baby just eats with the rest of the family, whatever they’re eating. It makes life much much easier, cheaper, and more fun. Baby actually enjoys eating foods with taste, and texture! You can read much more about it on my blog, or here: http://www.borstvoeding.com/voedselintroductie/blw/engels.html

Good luck and have fun! Sigh, I’ve had four babies, and I miss the young months when they learn to eat… sniffle… 🙂

  2. I can just imagine how exciting this phase might be for you. I was really excited when my daughter started to eat. She only liked peaches and applesauce though. She didn’t seem to like the main meals. I introduced one food every week or so. It allowed her to get accustomed to one particular food before moving forward to other tastes. Good luck!
